When Jeff and I learned we were pregnant with Amelia, we prayed for her every night. We do the same now for the triplets and Amelia. We always pray the Our Father for our children.
I chose the prayer for one reason, because it includes within it the prayer that never fails: "Thy will be done." It is our way of reminding ourselves that the Creator alone is in control of our lives and our children's lives. It is a way of turning over to Him this potentially high-risk pregnancy, the trials and tribulations of parenting, and the challenges and joys that are still to come.
It isn't always easy to cede control -- one of our human faults, I guess. But a daily reminder to try to give things over to God is a start.

That is so true. Every day is a day of challenge. From prior to pregnancy to during to following delivery. You are doing great by incorporating that prayer with your kids daily routine. I need to do that as well. My girls have just started preschool at a church, and they are learning about "The Lord" through a song. I really wish we would have started that earlier, but we just used the girls as the reason not to go. When we should have seen it as the reason to go.

Ok. so.. can I redo my guess? I was thinking.. November 1st is SUCH a long time from now.
I was thinking it was already October..
so in light of that.....
I want to move mine up a month.

:) I'm so excited for you guys to actually see those babies!
As many do, I struggle with control. Your blog was a good reminder that no one has complete control and that God's will be done. I constantly remind myself to "Let go and let God." Next time I say the "Our Father" I will say an extra one for the triplets.
