Guess Who Is On His Feet Now?

The title of this post should probably be, Guess Who Has Been on His Feet? I've been a little slow in getting this post done.

After a couple weeks of watching his brothers, Isaac skipped the step of pulling to his knees and went straight to his feet on June 7.

And, Isaac can officially shed the nickname, "Kickstand," now that he's sitting up by himself instead of always leaning on one hand.

While his brothers were busy standing, Isaac was very busy cutting teeth. He has four now -- two on top and two on the bottom, while his brothers are well behind, and just now cutting a top tooth each.

These boys just keep zooming right along! I predict they'll all be walking before the end of summer!

A Round of Firsts

Sorry to be so spotty on posts. Between the holiday weekend, a visit from Grandma D., and Amelia's birthday, we've been busier than usual.

Isaac, who is usually our best sleeper, had a tough time last night. This morning, we discovered the culprit: a new tooth! Isaac was the first to cut a tooth, and now he is the first to cut a top tooth, too -- on the right side.

Before the bedtime bottle last night, Alex showed off his newest move -- pulling himself up to standing. Too bad he waited until Grandma D. left to make his move. I know she would have loved to see him.

This morning, when I was trying to get the boys down for their nap, I turned around from putting Isaac down to find Sam had pulled himself to standing in the crib. Unfortunately, I didn't happen to have my camera handy.

Won't be long now and we won't be able to keep up with these boys. Luckily Aunt Allie is here to stay for the summer, so we've got some fresh legs on the job!

Isaac Breaks New Ground

Tonight Isaac chewed on Dad's finger and we discovered his first tooth has broken through! Hopefully that will help him sleep better than he has in the last few days.

The arrival of the first tooth makes me a little sad. Once those teeth start to come in they will lose their little baby grins pretty quickly. And while growing up is good, it's a little sad too.

The boys are almost 6 months old now, which is hard to believe, and RSV season is nearly over, so we'll be headed to JC Penney soon for some studio pics that will hopefully capture their mostly toothless smiles before they disappear for good.

Diaper Duty Cubed!

I have changed so many dirty diapers today that I'm beginning to wonder if someone is secretly feeding my babies Indian food.

I'm not sure if this is the tail end (pun intended!) of the bout of sickness we had last week, or a result of the teeth that MUST be coming soon based on the amount of drool we're seeing. Our diaper count is WAY up, as is our laundry volume.

Someone recycle something to offset our environmental impact, please!
