Road Trip

Today was an unseasonably warm February day, so I decided to take advantage of it by loading the boys into the stroller for a little jaunt around the neighborhood. It was their inaugural ride in the Runabout, affectionately known as "The Beast." They loved it, but we kept it short because nap time was quickly upon us.

Sam, Alex and Isaac take their first ride in "The Beast."

I love my Runabout. It pushes easily and rolls smoothly, even with nearly 4o pounds of boy in it! Talk about a great workout. We got ours secondhand, and it still cost more than our first car. (Admittedly, our first car was an old Plymouth Duster, so it wasn't worth much, but still!) I know we'll put a lot of miles on this stroller, especially if they continue to enjoy the ride as much as they did the first time out.

I need to practice loading and unloading to speed things up, but now I can't wait for spring to get here so we can get out more frequently.

Sam reminds me of a little Amelia- look-alike! Are you sure you don't want to motorize that thing (the Beast)?
Grandpa has his trip to see you guys on his mind- he even had a dream that he drove all the way!
(and then when he got there, I was already there...go figure, ha!)
Love, Grandma D

We can't wait to see Grandpa D., too! The boys should be moving a lot more in another month, so tell him to bring his running shoes! So far, they aren't even rolling over regularly, but in another month? Look out!

Will they be running by may? ;)

Is this the stroller you have to strap to the back of your van because it's so large? Love it.

Susie, who knows what they'll be up to by May. Amelia was cruising the furniture at 7 months, and these guys will be 7 months old in May. At the minimum, we'll be crawling everywhere!

Chasing babies will be good warm up for the race.

Molly, yep, this is the stroller. It doesn't fold, so it goes on the hitch on the back of the van. On the plus side, it doesn't eat up all our cargo space...
